Joint Mobilisation

Improve the alignment and health of stubborn and sore joints.

Joint Mobilisation

The foot is an incredibly complex system that is made up of 23 bones and 33 joints!

It is not unusual for these joints to become maligned, stiff or restricted.

When this happens it can prevent the foot from functioning properly and impact your bodies ability to absorb weight which can cause pain.

Foot mobilisation is a hands on treatment that we perform to improve the health, function and alignment of the joint if this happens.

What's involved?

Foot mobilisation involves our Podiatrist gently moving and adjusting the joints in a series of sessions over a set period of time. Think Chiropractic for the feet.

The adjustments and mobilisations generally take place 1-2 times per week for between 4 and 8 weeks. The treatment is pain free and often leaves the receiver with a feeling of "walking on air" or "freeness" in their feet. Who's it for? Foot mobilisation therapy is often used as part of a wider treatment plan for patients with pain, injuries and foot fatigue. It is typically used as part of a strengthening plan and can be a great alternative or complimentary treatment to the use of orthotics or before committing to surgeries. Skills and Experience: Both Bill and Jordan are extensively trained and highly experienced at providing foot mobilisation therapy. So much so that they have taught the skill to university students. Accuracy and experience with foot mobilisation is important as the Podiatrist needs to be able to isolate the correct joint and perform the treatment with exceptional skill and accuracy.
