Jordan Ryder

Principal Podiatrist

Born and raised in Wagga, Jordan had spent the last 8 years practicing on Macquarie Street and establishing himself as one of Sydney's most well-respected Podiatrists. He returns to Wagga experienced and passionate with the goal to provide comprehensive, advanced podiatric care to Wagga Wagga and the surrounding communities. Jordan is Wagga's only endorsed podiatry. Meaning he has undertaken further study and qualifications to be able to prescribe scheduled medicines such as antibiotics and cortisone injections.

Jordan arrives back in Wagga having been recently awarded the “Podiatrist of the year” at the Australian allied health awards. The award is an outstanding achievement that takes into account excellence in clinical practice, education, impact and innovation in the field of Podiatry.

Jordan prides himself on being able to examine and identify underlying causes of pain and uses this to develop engaging and effective treatment plans that lead to quick recoveries and improvement in form and function. He has a keen interest in lower limb biomechanics, the human gait cycle, foot and leg strengthening and orthoses therapy.

His experience in private practice has exposed him to a wide range of injuries and ailments, treating both professional athletes, weekend warriors and mums and dads, he is skilled in treating patients with a myriad of foot and lower limb issues.

As well as his private practice experience Jordan has spent 5 years teaching podiatry students at Central Queensland University (Sydney campus) in subjects including biomechanics, diabetes, high-risk feet and pressure analysis. His involvement in university education has allowed him to keep up to date with the latest technology and research which he uses successfully to integrate into patient care.

Jordan’s passion for podiatry stems from his childhood. His own exposure to podiatry treatment left him with an appreciation for the positive impact that podiatry intervention could have on an individual’s quality of life. He is driven by the need to help improve patients’ quality of life, as he was helped by his podiatrist as a child. He uses this in the forefront of his interaction with patients to ensure stress-free and focused treatments.

Outside of the clinic, Jordan is a keen, albeit slow runner, having completed 3 marathons and a handful of triathlons. His sporting (non) excellence extends to reserve grade AFL, cycling and a golf handicap of 34.
