Orthotics & 3D Printing - Inhouse

Designed and made in-house, made to fit exactly how you move.

Soft

Comfortable

Supportive

Orthotics that are comfortable enough to actually wear make a real difference to whether they work.

Custom orthotics are devices worn inside your footwear that are designed to support the foot and improve the way forces move through the lower limb during walking and running. By improving foot function they can help reduce stress on injured or overloaded structures, and assist with a wide range of foot, ankle and lower limb problems.

The reason our orthotics feel different is the way we make them. Every device is designed and manufactured in-house by the same podiatrist who assessed you, built from a precise 3D scan of your foot and tailored specifically to your biomechanics, your symptoms, and what you need the orthotic to do.

The materials we use are soft and comfortable underfoot while still providing the mechanical support required to change the way your foot functions. The goal is an orthotic you wear consistently because it feels good in your shoe and does not get in the way of your daily life.

Because everything is done on site, turnaround is fast. In most cases your orthotics are ready within a few hours. Same day fitting is available when needed.

How the Process Works

Assessment

A detailed assessment of the foot, lower limb and walking pattern is performed to determine whether orthotics are appropriate.

3D Foot Scan

A digital scan captures the precise contours of the foot.

Orthotic Design

The orthotic is digitally designed by the podiatrist based on the findings of the assessment.

In-House 3D Printing

The orthotic is produced in our on-site laboratory using advanced 3D printing technology.

Fitting and Review

Theo orthotics are fit to your footwear to ensure optimal comfort and symmetry between the foot, shoe and innersole. Adjustments can be made where required to optimise comfort and performance.

Re-Assessment

Your gait is reassessed to evaluate how they are influencing foot function and loading patterns.

Conditions Orthotics May Help With

Orthotics may be recommended to assist with:

  • Plantar heel pain and plantar fasciitis
  • Forefoot pain and metatarsalgia
  • Morton’s neuroma
  • Flat feet and arch related problems
  • Tibialis posterior tendon problems
  • Shin pain and running injuries
  • Knee, hip and lower back pain related to foot mechanics

Not everyone requires orthotics. A thorough assessment helps determine whether they are appropriate and how they should be designed as part of an overall treatment plan.
