Workplace injuries affecting the foot and lower limb can make it difficult to work, move comfortably and carry out normal daily activities. Our podiatrists regularly assist patients with WorkCover claims by assessing, diagnosing and managing injuries to help people recover and return to work as quickly and safely as possible.
Appointments involve a thorough assessment to understand the cause of your injury and how it is affecting your ability to work. This may include physical examination, gait assessment and pressure analysis to better understand how your foot and lower limb are functioning. Where appropriate, on-point ultrasound may also be used to assess injured tendons, ligaments or soft tissues during the appointment.
Following assessment, a clear treatment and rehabilitation plan is developed with the goal of reducing pain, restoring function and progressing you safely back to work. We also provide detailed reports outlining our findings and recommendations for your GP, case manager and insurer to support return-to-work planning.

Common workplace injuries we assist with include:
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendon injuries
- Foot and ankle sprains
- Stress fractures
- Tendon injuries of the foot and ankle
- Overuse injuries from prolonged standing or walking
Our focus is always on identifying the cause of the injury and implementing an effective plan to help you return to work as quickly as possible.
It may be helpful for conditions including:
- Foot and ankle stiffness
- Midfoot or forefoot pain
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendon pain
- Chronic ankle sprains
- Arthritis related joint restriction
- General foot fatigue or reduced mobility
Both Jordan and Bill have extensive training and experience in foot mobilisation techniques and have previously taught these skills to podiatry students at university level. Accurate assessment and precise technique are important to ensure the correct joints are treated and the therapy is performed safely and effectively.
