Meet Principal Podiatrist Bill Ryder

Bill Ryder is a principal podiatrist at Wagga Podiatry Plus with broad clinical experience managing foot and lower limb conditions across a wide range of patients and presentations.

Raised in Wagga Wagga, Bill completed a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine with Honours at Charles Sturt University in Albury, where he undertook research into lower limb biomechanics and developed a strong foundation in how movement patterns contribute to injury and recovery. He began his career on the Mid North Coast before moving to a busy clinic in the Illawarra, building experience across high demand clinical environments treating patients of all ages and activity levels.

Bill returned to Wagga Wagga in 2024 with his wife to join Jordan in building Wagga Podiatry Plus. His clinical interests centre on sports and walking injuries, lower limb rehabilitation, and helping people return to activity safely and confidently after injury. He is also highly experienced in ingrown toenail management and nail surgery, and has a particular focus on resolving problems that have been persistent or difficult to treat elsewhere.

Bill sits on the external advisory committee for Charles Sturt University, working alongside industry leaders to help shape the direction of podiatry education in Australia. It is a role that keeps him closely connected to the next generation of podiatrists and to the evolving standards of the profession.

Outside the clinic, Bill is actively involved in local sport including rugby league and basketball. He has competed in triathlons and continues to enjoy running and spending time outdoors.
